Sam* is a bright 12-year-old.
He joined the club because his biggest problem was writing fast and keeping up in class. His dad said “he just lacked all the basics”.
It became part of their morning routine. So much so that his younger sister was subconsciously learning good habits too!
The key was keeping the writing fun. It didn’t feel like a burden and the results speak for themselves. Congratulations to Sam.

My superpower is finding fun ways to help pre-teens and teens get unstuck about their handwriting.
Traditional ways of practising handwriting are boring. I get it – nothing is pitched for your child’s age.ย All our workbooks and tools have been created or handpicked by myself. That’s where my creativity and OT skills come in handy.ย
Our club is unique. Every month, students learn to write faster and more legibly. Each week, I randomly select and anonymously review 10 students’ work. A workbook alone will never be enough to help your child’s handwriting.
But this will be.ย
There is very limited support out there for 11 to 16 year olds. A lot of it has not been designed by an occupational therapist. The resources lack depth. So, lasting improvement is rare.
Our handwriting practice club focuses on key areas that are crucial for academic success. They include legibility, speed, and consistency. We teach proper grip techniques. As well as teaching letter formation, spacing, and alignment. Plus we focus on note-taking, exam writing, and writing clearly under pressure.
These are the skills that matter for this age group.
Our club offers personalised attention from an occupational therapist. We also offer detailed feedback. Most workbooks and school support don’t do this. We use occupational therapy techniques. Teaching your child how to improve and how to review their writing. Without this, progress doesn’t last.
We use many engaging techniques. These include sending monthly scratch cards, mystery pens or pencils and a surprise gift. We celebrate improvements, no matter how small. Each lesson teaches a new technique to improve. The workbook writing activities are of real events in history. They’re designed to grab a teen’s interest.
The handwriting practice club is designed to be parent-friendly.
Our aim is to make it easy-to-follow for both you and your child. We post everything to your home that your child may need. Even down to the paperclips and a coin for the fine motor warm-up activities. (This is in our Starter Pack).ย
An email reminder is sent 24 hours before the two group Zoom calls start. It will include the link for your child to log on and attend. If you wish your child’s work to be reviewed, it needs to be emailed to us by 6pm on Thursdays. We sent a friendly reminder email for this too. Every Friday, we will email you our Feedback Friday videos. Here, your help would be of benefit to email the work and watch these videos with your child. It will suggest how they can improve. You might want to discuss what has been said together.
Students start to make progress and life long changes within a few weeks. Those who submit their work and join the Zoom calls progress faster.
When we started the handwriting practice club, we thought students would stay for 3 months. Some leave due to GCSE commitments. Others leave, after finishing their Duke of Edinburgh requirements. Most have stayed because they enjoy it so much. There really is nothing like it out there.
Yes, they will be in our resource box.
We have a cut off date every month on the 23rd of the month. All resources are posted out on the 25th of the month in time to start on the 1st. If you join on or after the 23rd and have missed that months posting. Do not worry in our ‘Club Hub’ we have provided downloadable worksheets so that everyone can start getting the benefits from our handwriting practice club straight away.
Here’s how it works:
I’m happy to tell you that our handwriting practice club is an online club. So, we have no limits on participants. Your child is welcome to join at any time. As the club grows, we hold more Zoom calls. It ensures that all members get the attention and guidance they need.
Absolutely. Our handwriting club is flexible and self-paced. It meets all writing needs and styles. The writing activities can be completed at any time of the day. You can watch and learn from our Feedback Friday videos at any time. Our Zoom lessons have a daytime and evening option. Your child can attend them as part of the learning schedule you have set together. Many students find handwriting tricky. It’s helpful to know others are also working on it.ย
Your membership starts immediately upon joining and you’ll have access to the Club Hub. Here you can download our ‘Days of the Week’ worksheets.ย ย
You’re guaranteed either 1 or 3 boxes depending on your membership.
For any box received during your membership, you can get related the work reviewed.
For any box that arriving after your membership ends, you will not have the opportunity for this work to be reviewed.ย
Yes, we offer online lessons. These are individual lessons, tailored to our child’s needs and writing style. They take place with an occupational therapist who is a specialist in giving handwriting training.ย
