There are many ways to improve and have readable handwriting. The top three are: courses, workbooks and lessons. But none of them work if you don’t change habits. Research says it takes 66 days to change a habit.ย
What if you found an option that combined the best bits from all three ways? It gave points and badges to motivate students. Oh and it hid Easter eggs for extra interest within the training. Would that work for your child?
Yep, that’s what I did.
Then I gave it the flexibility needed to allow students to do it over 3 months. So as not to panic anyone if they missed a day. Next, I added in support from an OT to review the work and to hold students accountable.
Welcome to my successful ‘Make handwriting readable in 66 days’ course. It works as well if not better than any lesson!
Expertly guided by a qualified Occupational Therapist
We’ve helped students from UK, Europe and America to have readable handwriting.
We are revamping our workbook. We want to send it to students instead of asking you to print 200 pages! We will be ready by 1st September to resume taking new students again.
Click the ‘Buy Now’ button. Unlock the course immediately upon sign-up. Within 72 hours, a workbook for the course will arrive at your door.
Your child submits their first work. It includes their handwriting goals and a schoolwork sample.
Watch 66 engaging daily videos and do the workbook exercises. Submit work every 6 days for personalised feedback from an OT. Your child makes a handwriting checklist. This gives them ownership of their progress.
Submit Day 66 work and a recent school sample to show improvement. End with a Zoom call with your OT to discuss the progress made after the course.
An expert occupational therapist designed our online course. It is as effective as in-person lessons. It offers personalised feedback, exercises, and video tutorials. They let your child learn at their own pace.
Traditional lessons do not allow replays of the teaching advice. Your child can rewatch a video at any time. They can complete the workbook at a time that suits them. Writing every day lets them build their skills. It’s better than a burst of writing and improving in the lesson when the OT is present.
We call this course a “little and often” approach to improving and having readable handwriting. It is always available at a time that works for your child. Unlike traditional methods where they have to turn up at a specific time.
There are two reasons why our course is so special. Firstly, your child is not abandoned to improve on their own. They submit their work for feedback and advice. Secondly, it is on a gaming-style platform. As more work is done, points, badges, and hidden Easter eggs are awarded.
Every result is different. On Day 4, we ask your child to set three personal goals for doing our courses. These are constantly reviewed by us.
Most parents see big gains in their child’s handwriting. It’s now more legible, faster, and their child is more confident. You can expect to see clearer letter formation, better spacing, improved alignment, and more consistent readable handwriting.
Parents say their kids’ schoolwork is more legible. This has led to better grades and more confidence. We’ve seen the changes. Many children have gone from reluctant to proud writers. We’ve heard that teachers who once suggested typing now praise the writing.
Many parents like that they don’t have to physically print anything. All resources are either online or posted to their child.
Our course doesn’t just teach techniques. It builds habits. It is based on the research that it takes 66 days to change a habit. We use daily exercises that tie back into their schoolwork. The skills learned become second nature. This ensures their long-term use.
Our goal is to provide your child with all the support they need for lasting results for readable handwriting.
At the end of the course, there is an optional ‘Next Steps’ call with Sheilagh. Here, she can advise you all on future options. Some students achieve all their goals from the course. Some see their progress but want to keep improving. Those students go on to join our Handwriting Club. This is a membership with a subscription box.
Practice time may vary based on your child’s age and needs. Generally, we say to dedicate around 10 to 15 minutes of focused practice each day. This is after they have watched a 5 minute training video. Consistency is the key as it will yield the best results and readable handwriting.
Yes. The course has advice for left-handed writers. It covers forming letters, numbers, and math symbols. Most handwriting techniques work for both types of writers. They do not need to be differentiated.
Yes, we aim to send this to you within 48 hours of you placing the order. As there will be a delay we have given you an opportunity to start straight away with access to the worksheets for the first 10 days.
Here’s how it works:
Yes, we offer individual handwriting lessons. These happen online and last for 45 minutes in length. They are a great way for instant progress to be made. We recommend practice happens in between the lessons for the new skills to be embedded.ย
