Can we improve handwriting and make it count towards the DofE award?
Yes. Your child can use handwriting as their DofE Skills activity while building a skill that helps every week in school.
Better handwriting can mean clearer work, greater confidence, improved presentation and less frustration when writing becomes demanding.
"Your support truly makes a difference and we're so grateful for the time and effort you have put in to make it such a positive experience."

Hi and welcome
I’m a children’s occupational therapist and a handwriting expert.
I’m super pleased to link up with the Duke of Edinburgh award to offer two great handwriting options. Think of this as a double whammy solution for your child. Many families tell me they were already worried about handwriting before their child started their DofE. The Skills Section simply gives them a structured reason to work on it consistently.
My offers easily fit in around after school clubs and the demands of school work. Working on handwriting will have a great impact not just on their school life but also after it.
I hope to see your child soon.
Best wishes
Sheilagh

Your bronze award options
We help students from the UK and worldwide including America, Canada, Australia, Asia and South Africa. Unfortunately, we cannot take students who live in Europe.
Because it is one of the few skills your child will continue using every day after their DofE award is complete. Better handwriting can support schoolwork, confidence and future exams.
The handwriting club opens for new students once a month. The handwriting course runs 3 time a year (October, January and April). Both have a wait list and if you add your details you’ll be kept informed when they open.
Yes, this handwriting club continues through the whole year. The only time a break is taken is if it is a bank holiday e.g. on Good Friday, there is no Feedback Friday video.
Everyone who is registered to do their duke of Edinburgh award is given an eDofE number. We need to know this information, otherwise we cannot submit your child’s report.
We pride ourselves on submitting a report 2 weeks from your child’s finish date. The report is submitted electronically to the DofE database.
"This is a great skills option for your child. Handwriting remains important for GCSE exams, sixth form, note-taking, university
and workplace life."
