Description
Has your teen’s teacher said their handwriting could lose them GCSE marks?
This isn’t about making it pretty. It’s about making sure examiners can read what they wrote under pressure, so months of revision actually count. Exam Ready Handwriting gives 15-16 year olds the techniques, subject-specific strategies, and expert 1-1 guidance they need to write clearly and fast when it matters most.
What’s Included:
- Expert OT Power Hour: One 1-hour session with me (occupational therapist and handwriting specialist). We’ll pinpoint exactly what breaks down in their handwriting under exam conditions and build a personal fix-it plan.
- Full online course: Subject-specific modules for English essays, Maths workings, Science diagrams, History and Geography answers. What works in one subject doesn’t work in another. We cover all of it.
- Real examiner insight: I’ve worked with teachers and examiners. Your teen will learn what actually loses marks and how to write so their answers get full credit.
What Your Teen Will Get:
- GCSE handwriting that stays legible under timed pressure
- Strategies to pace long answers without their hand fatiguing
- Confidence walking into the exam hall, knowing their writing won’t cost them marks
Perfect for:
- Students aged 15-16 sitting GCSEs in the next 3-12 months
- The Speedy Writer (fast but messy), the Inconsistent Writer (good some days, awful others), or the Fatigued Writer (starts strong, ends illegible)
- School or home-educated students who’ve been told their presentation needs work
Why It Works:
I’m an occupational therapist. I don’t teach GCSE handwriting like a primary school teacher. I assess *why* it breaks down under exam conditions (grip, posture, fatigue, speed) and fix the mechanics. Then we apply it to real GCSE subject demands. Your teen already knows their content. This makes sure the examiner can read it. Give your teen handwriting that keeps up with their knowledge.
“Our ‘Power Hour’ one-to-one session with Sheilagh was incredibly valuable. With my son’s GCSEs soon approaching, we were a little nervous about improving his handwriting in time, but now, thanks to some handy tips from Sheilagh and the brilliant online resources, we’re well on our way to getting him exam-ready.” – Claire, Mum of Daniel, age 15
