Before you buy, there a few things you need to know about what you are purchasing, what you can expect, and the support you will get from Help with Handwriting.   • Introductionย 

The terms and conditions set out below apply to your purchase of our services. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under law and set out the terms under which Help with Handwriting Limited (โ€œHelp with Handwritingโ€, โ€œweโ€, โ€œusโ€ or โ€œourโ€), a company registered in England & Wales under company registration number 13759964, provide services to you. These terms are subject to any rights you have under consumer law to which we are bound to, and which cannot be waived.

  • Services

    Help with Handwriting provides handwriting Lessons, Courses and Online Membership Subscription Service for children and teenagers aged between 4 โ€“ 16 years old.

Get Set Write Handwriting Club
Your membership starts immediately upon joining with instant access to the club hub. The join date is the date the direct debit is set up. This is based on the date that the order form was completed. If joining on 22nd, 23rd, 24th or 25th of the month, the following months direct debit will be moved to 21st of the month. This is so that the club boxes can be posted to you on the 25th.

Boxes are prepared monthly with a cut-off date of the 21st. You’ll receive 1 or 3 full months worth of membership benefits, including work reviews and Zoom calls. This is based on your membership choice at the time of signing up.

The timing of your box shipments depends on when you join:
– Join by the 21st: Your first box ships that month.
– Join after the 22nd: Your first box ships the following month.

You’re guaranteed 1 or 3 club boxes, even if the 3rd box arrives after your membership ends. Everyone receives 1 starter box, this is posted on the first month. If you leave and rejoin the club within 12 months you will not receive a new Starter Box. For any box received during your membership, you can get related work reviewed.

All boxes contain a monthly workbook, mystery pen, surprise gift, challenge scratch card and subject topic keyword worksheet. For any box that arrives after your membership ends, you will not be able to have work reviewed.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, there is a 14 day guarantee. Contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you your membership fee. Access to the membership will cease immediately. The refund will be issued back to you within 10 working days. This is is accordance to Stripe refund policy.

Any promotional offers are only available if the 3 month membership is purchased. The promotional product is subject to availability. Item may vary and there are no guarantees that item is available. An example of a promotional item is a desk tidy that has a RRP of ยฃ10.50.

Online Lessons with an Occupational Therapist
Handwriting MOT
30 minute lesson with an MOT style report identifying areas of handwriting that could be improved, stating in what order they should be approached. This report is a PDF document that is emailed after the lesson to the parents/guardians.

All lessons have to be used within 6 months from the date of purchase.

Lessons can be changed or cancelled 48hrs prior to the lesson otherwise a cancellation fee is applied.

Get Set Write Club
All students must be 14 years or older, have a Duke of Edinburgh ID number and are part of a DofE licensed organisation e.g. school, scouts.

A student has to submit a minimum of 11 pieces of work over their 3-month period for review as part of the Feedback Friday video reviews.

They cannot submit 11 pieces of work in one go but spread this over a minimum of 5 submissions. Without doing this, they do not meet meet Help with Handwriting requirements for our approved assessor to write the report. No refunds are issued if a student does not comply with these conditions.

As per advice by the DofE organisation holiday breaks over this 3 month period is allowed.

Students can sign up for a total of 6 months with the club ad this can go towards their DofE award, however the usual term is 3 months.

Whilst many children experience significant improvements in learning, handwriting style, implementation techniques and confidence, we offer no guarantees in respect to results. Each child is different, and results may vary. All services are delivered online, and some children do not progress as well with online delivery.ย 

  • All services are performed by Help with Handwriting.

    No services are outsourced.

  • Fees and Payment Termsย 

    The fees for all packages are charged at the time of purchase, and payment is accepted via Stripe. Any VAT to be charged will be clearly stated.

  • Intellectual Property Rights

    We retain all copyright in any document prepared in the course and subscription of carrying out the services specified in these Terms of Business.ย  As a result you are strictly prohibited from copying in full or in-part any elements of our worksheets.

  • Communications

    Communication with you will be via email or telephone unless otherwise agreed in advance. Electronic communications are not totally secure, and we cannot be held responsible for damage or loss caused by viruses. Our usual business hours are 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of these times responses to any communications may not be read or responded to.

Please be aware that as part of the content strategy for our business, social media posts may be uploaded to social channels outside of these hours and so whilst you may see a social presence and engagement we will be unable to respond to emails and enquiries outside of our core business hours.

  • Data Protection

  • Confidentiality and Retention of Information

    Communications between us are confidential. We will take all reasonable steps not to disclose personal information about you and your child save for in circumstances as required by law or by us to perform the internal operations of our business, such as disclosure to an accountant.
    Information in respect to you and your child will not be held longer than required by insurance provider obligations.

  • Complaints and Refunds

    In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel and obtain a full refund within 14 days from the date of purchase in circumstances where you have not had access to the course or subscription material.

    Refund requests should be made in writing to support@HelpWithHandwriting.co.uk and a full refund will be provided within 14 working days.

    In the event that online content has been provided to you, or one or more training sessions have already taken place within the first 14 days following your purchase, you are still entitled to request a refund, but the value of the lesson(s) shall be deducted from the amount paid by you, along with any reasonable costs which have been borne by us in respect of the administrative costs of enrolling you on the course or subscription.ย 

    There is no obligation on us to refund any amounts paid where cancellation requests are made following the 14-day cancellation period.

We reserve all rights to cancel the services for any reason without prior notice. In such circumstance a refund will be provided for the remainder of the lessons as applicable.ย 

It is our aim that you will be content with your purchase. If you have any concerns, you should contact our support desk via email at support@HelpWithHandwriting.co.uk. We agree to look into your complaint carefully and promptly and take reasonable steps to resolve it.
Refunds will be provided in accordance with your statutory rights.

  • Limitation of Liability

    Services are provided to you and your child with reasonable care and skill. Any liability to you is limited to the amount of any fees paid.ย 

We do not and cannot guarantee any specific results in respect to improvement in your childโ€™s handwriting and / or confidence.

There will not be no liability to you for any delay or failure to perform our obligations if the delay or failure is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We do not accept liability in respect to the actions of any participants in group sessions.

  • Third Party Rights

No person other than the person provided with a copy of these Terms of Business shall be deemed to have the benefit of the services or have any rights to enforce or rely on any of the terms.

  • Applicable Law

These Terms of Business are our standard terms and conditions of business and should at all times be construed in accordance with English law. The courts of England & Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any claim, or dispute arising out of this engagement or any matter arising from it.ย
