Better Handwriting Without Another Big Commitment

Give your child a way to practise they'll enjoy. Ready to use, with no printing or planning needed.

Who are these workbooks for?

They're for children who need more handwriting practice, but don't need another babyish worksheet.

With more schoolwork now being completed using technology, children can have fewer opportunities to practise writing by hand. These workbooks give them something interesting to write about, with historical facts and questions designed to capture their attention.

What will my child learn?

Suitable for any handwriting style. At the beginning of the workbook there are advice pages on techniques as well as a Spot the Difference activity and Word Search to help reenforce handwriting techniques. Your child will learn practical ways to make their handwriting clearer and easier to read – without being told there is only one “correct” handwriting style or it needs to be “neater’.

Advice given on how to form letters. At the back of the book there are writing lined papers to help with letter sizing.

What does my child actually do?

Takes 5 to 15 minutes to do. This includes the review time.

  1. Complete the warm up activity.
  2. Copy or answer the interesting fact linked to history.
  3. Review their writing to say how thy can improve.

What makes this different?

Students who choose to copy do so to practice their letter formations. Then they move onto being able to answer the question. Lastly, they try answering it at the speed needed for schoolwork. Whichever approach they choose, every page gives your child two easy ways to improve their own writing.

Can copy the fact, answer the question about the fact or time themselves answering the question.
